Creative TY Connections Money Management

Money management is a 5 week programme that aims to improve the participants’ understanding of money and develop their money management skills in a fun and safe environment.
The course will raise each participant’s level of financial awareness and encourage more future-focused behaviour such as planning and saving. This will better equip individuals to manage money more confidently and independently.
The course will be delivered using our innovative Creative TY Connections model. This means that each participant will have a transition year student buddy who will learn alongside them and support their learning.
Participation will be encouraged by building connection and trust in the group through drama and creativity. We will use group discussion, reflection, a character case study, role play and visuals to facilitate learning. Real world exercises such as shopping for a bargain and making a money plan will be completed to bring the learning to life.
