‘‘I am very excited to participate in the Connecting Artists 2024 Programme and my aim as an artist is to spread my work around the world, paving the way for my family and a new generation of artists.”
— Bradley Farrell, Connecting Artists 2024 Participant
My name is Bradley Farrell and I am from Cranmore, Sligo. I have been drawing since I was 5 years old in my grandmother’s house. I first drew cars and then began to sketch how I felt. I get my inspiration from the natural world, relationships, my heritage and past experiences.
Sketching is my favourite medium, and abstract and scenery art are my favourite styles. I am inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. A lot of my work is original and I am the first artist in my family.
Previously, I have exhibited my artwork in No. 45 Art Exhibition in Sligo after workshops with Keith Murray and my work has been featured in local newspapers. I am excited to participate in the Connecting Artists 2024 Programme and nervous but looking forward to showcasing my art at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
My aim as an artist is to spread my work around the world, paving the way for my family and a new generation of artists.'
